FAQs
What is Central Transport? Central Transport is a local, independent backup transportation service for group homes, residential care facilities, and adult day programs in Santa Ana, Garden Grove, and Anaheim. We step in when your usual agency van, contracted vendor, or other options fall through — so your clients don’t miss important appointments or routines.
When should we use Central Transport? Use us whenever your regular transportation doesn’t work:
The agency van no-shows or has a long wait
Staff is short-handed and can’t drive
Ride-share apps don’t feel safe for vulnerable clients
Someone is no longer cleared for their usual provider
You simply need a reliable backup for a critical trip
Are you a contracted vendor with RCOC or other regional centers? No. We are an independent backup service, not a contracted vendor. This means no lengthy approval processes or rigid contracts — you can use us quickly when you need help.
How do I request a ride? Simply call or text us with the details (pickup time, locations, and any special needs). We usually respond within minutes and can often provide same-day or next-day service.
What kind of drivers do you use? All drivers go through background checks and we prefer those with experience supporting adults with disabilities or seniors. They use clean, comfortable private vehicles and understand the importance of respectful, dignified service.
Do you offer wheelchair or assisted transport? We primarily provide ambulatory (walking) transport in private cars. Wheelchair-assisted or extra attendant support is available on request — just let us know the needs when you call or text so we can match the right driver and vehicle.
How much does it cost? We offer flexible options:
Pay As You Go: $60 per one-way ride
Monthly plans starting at $149 (3 rides) or $199 (5 rides)
10-ride monthly: $349
Yearly plan: $1,300 (includes priority scheduling and discounts on longer trips)
Overages are a flat $40 per extra ride. No long-term contracts on monthly plans — cancel anytime.
Is there a minimum commitment? No. You can use us for a single ride or set up a monthly plan. Most programs start with Pay As You Go or the 3-ride monthly plan and upgrade if needed.
What areas do you serve? We currently focus on Santa Ana, Garden Grove, and Anaheim, with plans to expand. Most local trips within Orange County are supported.
How do I pay? We accept invoices with net-30 terms for facilities, or you can pay by credit card. Monthly plans are billed automatically.
Can I get a free first ride? Yes — during our May 2026 soft launch, new programs get their first ride free. Just mention it when you contact us.
How do I stop receiving texts or calls? Reply STOP to any text message, or let us know by phone or email and we’ll remove you immediately.
